In his presentation to RUSIQ members Dr Nelson will reflect on his own upbringing and the lessons he has learned through school, university, work as a physician, his political career and now as Director of the Memorial. Dr Nelson will impart key lessons that have stayed with him, and are important to all leaders, such as the importance of service to the community rather than self.
This year’s Summit will focus on the ever-important strategic position of Northern Australia, its role in the wider Indo-Pacific region, and its significance to Australia’s security.
