AIBC ACT: Defence Exports to Indonesia Network Briefing

The Australia Indonesia Business Council (AIBC) in conjunction with the Australian Industry Defence Network Chapter ACT (AIDN-ACT Inc.) and the Defence Council of the Australian Industry Group (AiG) will conduct a briefing on the opportunities for defence exports to Indonesia.

The briefing will be held at the offices of PwC in Canberra on 15 May 2018 and the program will include David Johnston, the Australian Government’s Defence Exports Advocate, His Excellency Kristiarto Legowo, the Indonesian Ambassador to Australia, and senior officials from the Department of Defence, EFIC, and Austrade.

This year’s Summit will focus on the ever-important strategic position of Northern Australia, its role in the wider Indo-Pacific region, and its significance to Australia’s security. Alongside this, the conference will cover a range of topics considering ADF Capabilities in the North, investment in infrastructure projects, Defence as a driver for local economic growth, and the challenges of developing and sustaining a sufficiently skilled workforce to support Defence operations.
