Women in Defence Awards

The inaugural ADM Women in Defence awards program will celebrate talented, determined, successful women who make a positive impact in the defence business arena, as members of Defence industry, Australian Public Service (APS) or in uniform.

The program will recognise women within the following categories:

  • Communications
  • Legal/contracting
  • Project Management
  • Engineering
  • Technical Trade
  • Rising Star award (under the age of 30)
  • Hall of Fame Lifetime Achievement award

The inaugural awards will be presented to the winners in July 2018 at a gala lunch event in Canberra. ADM is the leading voice of the defence community and is proud to showcase the achievements of leading women in the sector.

Join us at the beautiful Pialligo Estate for the Women in Defence Gala Awards Lunch, where the winners of each category will be announced. The gala lunch will feature a keynote address by WIDA patron, Senator the Hon Marise Payne Minister for Defence, who will also announce the Hall of Fame inductee.

DTC is partnering with CGI to bring you a Defence Industry Panel Event aiming to bring together key stakeholders from the defence industry to share insights, showcase capabilities, and foster strategic partnerships.

March

The Avalon Australian International Airshow is Australia's largest airshow and a major defence industry event.

ADM is hosting a site walk around at the Avalon Airshow for a group of 24 women, who are new/newish to the defence sector.

April

This year’s Summit will focus on the ever-important strategic position of Northern Australia, its role in the wider Indo-Pacific region, and its significance to Australia’s security. Alongside this, the conference will cover a range of topics considering ADF Capabilities in the North, investment in infrastructure projects, Defence as a driver for local economic growth, and the challenges of developing and sustaining a sufficiently skilled workforce to support Defence operations.
