Planning for the Australian International Airshow and Aerospace & Defence Exposition is already underway for a series of International 'round-tables' at Avalon 2015.

The expanded program of round-tables follows the success of the Australia/Russia Aviation and Aerospace Industry meetings held at Avalon during this year’s event.

“The response to the Australia/Russia round-tables at Avalon this year from other markets and industry participants was very strong,” Airshow CEO Ian Honnery said.

“As a result planning is already underway to convene individual round-tables for India, China and Russia at the 2015 Airshow.”

The program of meetings will be convened during the Aerospace & Defence Exposition 'Trade Days’ to enable participation by interested exhibitors, together with international and local aviation and aerospace stakeholders.

Some 60 attendees from the Russian and Australian aviation and aerospace industries participated in the first round-table, including Russia’s ambassador to Australia, Vladimir Morozov.

Participants were able to share an open and frank exchange about common issues, views and business opportunities, with many highly commending the facilitation of the forum.

By announcing formal round-tables for India, China and Russia at this early time, stakeholders in these markets, as well as here in Australia, can plan their attendance and participation at the 2015 Australian International Airshow and Aerospace & Defence Exposition.

Enquiries or expressions of participative interest should be directed to Airshow executive manager for Industry Development, Dr Gregor Ferguson gferguson@amda.com.au
