Oxley Group Ltd have made great strides into the Naval lighting market with their high quality products based on advanced LED technology. for which the company is renowned. Recent contracts have included  Internal compartment lighting for the Royal  Australian Navy  Collins Class Submarines and Helideck lighting for the Mexican Navy and External Lighting for a European Naval customer..

Oxley Group Ltd has recently developed a new suite of external LED lighting for Naval / Marine  applications that fully meet COLREG requirements. These include Navigation  Port and Starboard Side Lights, Masthead Light, Stern Lighting, Stern Contour, Anchor Light and NUC/RAM/CBD. They have also developed platform specific lighting to incorporate Hull Contour, Masthead Obstruction/Contour and Maneuvering/Warning Signal Lights.

All of the lights incorporate Oxley LED technology and benefit from an MTBF of 30,000hrs, have a dimmable option and incorporate NVG Friendly technology whilst being fully EMC Compliant (DEF-STAN 59-411) and sealed to IP67.

The design allows interchange between configurations to limit the number of parts, common base for all light configurations and there is no requirement for External Baffle.  Input voltage is 18-32VDC with the lights providing full optical compliance over the voltage range whilst advanced technology incorporated into the lights employs Health Monitoring which informs the user when the unit requires replacement.

Further benefits include extensive space and weight saving, low maintenance costs and reduced electrical load power requirements resulting in low through-life costs. The products are currently undergoing ‘wheelmarking’.

The Oxley EFL (Extruded Flat Light), a new area light for internal compartment lighting, is also due to be launched in the spring of 2012.
