An operational NFH and a full-scale mockup arrived on 19 January in Brisbane on a leased Antonov An-124.
The prototype is on display at Pacific 2010 in Sydney.
The NFH took part in the Australia Day display over Sydney Harbour on January 26, and is based for the week at Sydney Airport where it is conducting a number of demonstration flights.
RAN personnel at Nowra will get a chance to familiarise themselves with the aircraft when it visits, before it heads to Canberra for demonstrations to Defence and Government officials.
The NHIndustries NH90 NFH variant shares 80 per cent commonality with the MRH90, currently entering service with the ADF.
Australian Aerospace chief Jens Goennemann said the NFH was "the most technically advanced anti-submarine/anti-surface-ship attack helicopter in its class, with world-leading performance that would take Australian naval aviation to a new level of operational capability".
There are more than 500 NH90s on order globally, with 111 NFH variants entering service with five European navies.
