SYPAQ Systems and CODAN DTC have signed the Project Defence 129 contract with Defence.

Sypaq was selected to provide its CorvoX Small Uncrewed Autonomous System (SUAS) to Defence in July. More than 90 per cent of the components of the CorvoX are sourced from Australia.

The contract covers a four-year long build, delivery and sustainment program that is expected to generate 18 jobs.

"This integrated system will support the safety of operations for ADF users by providing a small, secure ISR capability which they are unable to get anywhere else in the world," said SYPAQ CEO Amanda Holt.

"We are proud to demonstrate a truly sovereign supply chain solution to our world-leading autonomous capability in Australia."
