Anduril Australia's Ghost Shark Extra-Large Autonomous Undersea Vehicle (XL-AUV) made its US debut as part of Exercise Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) 2024. The Ghost Shark vehicle, construction of which was funded by Anduril, was built in addition to the three systems on order by the Royal Australian Navy (RAN).

The XL-AUV was delivered to the US by a Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) C-17A Globemaster inside of a standard ISO container.

"Designed and built in Australia, this Ghost Shark arrived in the United States via trans-pacific flight by a Royal Australian Air Force C-17A, showcasing its rapid and agile expeditionary capabilities," Anduril Australia said in a statement.

During RIMPAC, the Deputy Commander of the US Pacific Fleet, Vice Admiral Blake Converse, inspected the vehicle alongside Anduril's Dive-LD Autonomous Undersea Vehicle (AUV) during a static display at Joint-Base Pearl Harbor Hickam. The vehicle will remain in the US to allow for simultaneous testing on both sides of the Pacific Ocean, as well as collaboration with unspecified US Government agencies.
