Australia's Advanced Robotics for Manufacturing Hub (ARM Hub) has announced the appointment of former Australian Chief Scientist, Dr Cathy Foley, to its board.
“We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Dr Cathy Foley to the ARM Hub board,” said CEO of ARM Hub, Professor Cori Stewart.
“She is both ambitious and strategic about how we can grow Australia’s industrial capability underpinned by scientific research and technology adoption. Her commitment to growing new and existing industries in Australia will advance ARM Hub’s mission to build the nation’s sovereign manufacturing capability.”
ARM Hub recently launched Propel-AIR, Australia’s inaugural robotics and AI sprint, providing businesses access to NVIDIA’s AI and robotics technologies.
“As ARM Hub expands its impact in helping businesses integrate critical technologies like robotics and AI, having Dr Foley on the board will provide an unparalleled strategic advantage,” explained Dr Stewart.
Dr Foley has played a pivotal role in advancing women in STEM and supporting professional scientific organisations.
