In December 2010, Liquip International – Aviation Division, located in Melbourne, delivered two Aviation Hydrant Dispensers to the Airborne Early Warning and Control System Program Office in RAAF Williamtown, NSW.

The purpose of a Hydrant Dispenser is to serve as the interface between the in-ground aviation fuel hydrant system and the aircraft replenishment point by filtering and metering fuel prior to it entering the aircraft fuel system.

The Hydrant Dispensers will be capable of refuelling the B737 “Wedgetail” aircraft with a flow rate up to 3800LPM depending on hydrant pressure, and consists of two 2” x 30m of reel hose, and two 2 1/2” hoses for the extendable work platform.

The refuelling module is mounted on a commercially available Isuzu NPR400 cab-chassis.

Liquip International has extensive experience in the manufacture of aviation refueling vehicles, fuel filtration vessels, and road tanker equipment, and has previously manufactured equipment for military purposes for the Australian Defence Force, Royal New Zealand Air Force, Brunei Ministry of Defence, and QANTAS Defence Services.
