Bradley - BAE Systems - Designed during the 1980s. - Tracked

CV90 - BAE Systems - Widely ordered; in service in Afghanistan. - Tracked

RG41 - BAE Systems - South African-designed, ITAR-free mine-protected. - 8x8

Warrior - BAE Systems - Designed during the 1980s. - Tracked

TBA - Force Protection - If it wins Land 121 Ph.4 Force Protection will have a significant Australian industrial footprint.

LAVII High Capacity - General Dynamics - Proven performer in ADF service, ASLAV could be upgraded to maintain capability until introduction into service of the Land 400 capability. - 8x8

LAV III High Capacity - General Dynamics - Enhanced assault capability based on widespread service, including Canada and NZ. - 8x8

Stryker - General Dynamics- In widespread US Army service, in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Proposed enhancement based on over 30 million km’s of combat operation experience. - 8x8

Piranha V - General Dynamics - Selected for UK FRES Utility phase, which was then cancelled. - 8x8

ASCOD - General Dynamics - Selected for the UK’s FRES SV program; already in production for Spain and Austria. Tracked

ARAVIS  - Nexter - Possible Cavalry vehicle contender as part of high/low mix with VBCI? - 4x4

VBCI – Nexter - Entering service now with French Army; part of high/low mix with ARAVIS? - 8x8

AMV – Patria - Likely contender for US Marines’ MPC program; already serving in Afghanistan with Polish and Slovenian Armies. - 8x8

AMPV - Rheinmetall/KMW - Lightweight, protected liaison and utility vehicle. - 4x4

Boxer - Rheinmetall/KMW - Developed by KMW-Rheinmetall MAN joint venture  – under development for the German Army. - 8x8

Marder - Rheinmetall/KMW - 1960s design, upated regularly and serving in Afghanistan - derived from Leopard tank. - Tracked

Puma - Rheinmetall/KMW - Developed by KMW-Rheinmetall MAN joint venture – under development for the German Army and offered by Boeing/SAIC for the GCV program in the US. - Tracked

Terrex – STK - In service with Singapore and Turkey. - 8x8

TBA – Thales - Probably has the most extensive armoured vehicle design and manufacturing capabilities in Australia. May not disclose its strategy for Land 400 until after Land 121 Ph 3 and 4 are settled
