Integra Packaging has supplied a storage solution to Australian Aerospace for protection of Caribou aircraft parts while in transit and storage.

The solution was required to protect parts, including wings, elevator, horizontal stabiliser, fin and rudder, as they awaited sale for an indefinite period.

Large ply boxes were designed and manufactured to house individual parts.

Boxes measuring up to 10.5m in length, 2.4m in width and 1.2m in height (internal size) were produced at the Integra Brisbane factory and transported to Australian Aerospace in flat-pack form.

The Integra onsite team then packed the Caribou parts into individual boxes and secured them for transport and storage.

Tom Mills, Caribou Quality Manager with Australian Aerospace, said: “we were impressed with the professional execution of the job by Integra and the exceptional service.

“The job was completed well within time-frame and finished products have travelled well.”
