BREAKING NEWS: Force Protection's Ocelot has won the UK Light Protected Patrol Vehicle (LPPV) competition.

The Canadian Government has selected Force Protection Industries, Inc. to continue in the procurement process for its Tactical Armored Patrol Vehicle (TAPV).

Canada’s Department of National Defence (DND) is seeking up to 600 vehicles and related long-term support services, with a contract expected to be awarded to the final selected bidder in 2011.

Force Protection last month submitted its Cougar 4x4 and 6x6 variants in response to the Solicitation of Interest and Qualification (SOIQ) phase of the procurement process, with the vehicles to be considered against seven vehicles from other equipment manufacturers in the Request for Proposal (RFP) phase.

Another Force Protection vehicle, the Ocelot, is also being considered by the Australian Government as one of three Australian-based solutions under the Land 121 Phase 4 MSA option.
