Both the Defence Science Institute (DSI) and DST Group have called for expressions of interest for a range of opportunites pertinent to defence.

 DST Group are undertaking a pilot of the Hacking for Defence (H4D) program in Australia and are seeking expressions of interest from the University sector to be involved. Responses are required by 28th February.

DSI will be hosting representatives from the US Department of Defense Research Offices who are keen to identify emerging research programs in Synthetic Biology from within the Australian academic sector. Any academic(s) who have an interesting/novel research in Synthetic Biology are encouraged to apply to present their research and future directions to the representatives from the US DoD for potential future funding.

DSI and DST Group would like to invite expressions of interest to participate in the “Bi-Directional Communication for Human-Robot Teaming” Discovery Workshop in Melbourne on 6 – 7 April 2017.

DSI will be hosting representatives from the Defence Science Technology – Maritime Platform Performance group who are keen to identify emerging research programs in Maritime Platform Performance from within both the Australian industry and academic sector. Interested parties are encouraged to apply to undertake a literature review and present research and the future directions concepts to the representatives from the DST-MPP.
