The D38999 Series III is one of the latest and highest spec military connector series of circular connectors, which is designed for excellent performance in very demanding situations.
They feature high contact density to minimize on space and weight, yet they are very robust and durable and offer good current and voltage specifications. They are environmentally sealed and utilise removable crimp contacts. Its features include:
- High impact shock and high vibration
- Triple lead thread coupling system
- 1 to 128 rear release crimp snap-in contacts
- Contact sizes 12 to 22D to accept wires 12 to 28 AWG
- 5 to 32 amps
- Environmentally sealed
- Standard shells of plated aluminium alloy
- Corrosion resistant composite (non-metallic) and stainless steel shells/housings also available
- -65 degrees Celsius to +200 degrees Celsius (depending on finish selected)
- Scoop proof
- 500 mating cycles is standard however a 1500 cycle version is available
- Accepts a variety of Mil-C-85049 backshells which are ordered separately
