The formal letter of completion for the project was delivered on behalf of the Commonwealth of Australia on June 16 from the HFMod Project Authority.
"This final milestone indicates all system requirements have been met and the Commonwealth is confident this Modernised High Frequency Communications System (MHFCS) is providing the Australian Defence Force with a secure, costeffective, strategic high-frequency communications capability," Steve Hudson, Boeing project manager, HFMod Project, said.
MHFCS is a managed long-range communications system that offers Australia the secure exchange of information between fixed and mobile stations using one integrated system.
Boeing is currently marketing the MHFCS internationally and is discussing the system with several potential customers.
