The Queensland Government has released an update on the Aerospace and Defence Support Centre – Amberley (ADSC-A) highlighting a number initiatives that have been reached.

The major highlight took place on October 12 when Queensland Deputy Premier, Treasurer and Minister for State Development and Trade, Andrew Fraser announced that a tender process to engage master planning and business case contractors had been initiated.

Other highlights for the project that took place in the last quarter included The Department of Transport and Main Roads (DTMR) nearing completion of the detailed design of the western interim intersection of the ADSC-A site to the Cunningham Highway as well as a number of other invitations to be issued in the near future for the provision of various legal services, and to undertake a Defence Secure Networks feasibility study.

ADSC-A is an initiative of the Queensland Government, that will be a master planned, high technology hub for high value-add and knowledge-based aerospace and defence support enterprises.

ADSC -A will be the premier destination in South East Queensland for organisations seeking to provide services to the Australian Defence Force (ADF) and, more specifically, the ADF assets based at Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Base Amberley.
