Capability Description
Matrix operates the largest hyperbaric testing facility in the Southern Hemisphere. Instrumented and temperature controlled, the facility specialises in long-term material and equipment testing in a simulated deep-water environment. The largest chamber has internal dimensions of Ø1.6 X 7.28 m and can be pressurised to 52 MPa. Test durations of two weeks are not uncommon and can - in theory - be extended indefinitely. Matrix also offers a full integration service and can assist with experimental design, handling fixtures, in-chamber instrumentation and analysis of test results. The vessels and preparation area operate in the shadow of a 40-tonne capacity crane.

Capability Description
Matrix is home to the world's largest, most technically advanced syntactic buoyancy manufacturing facility (22,000 m²). The facility has been designed using lean production and one-piece flow manufacturing concepts. It uses highly automated manufacturing processes including moving work cells and production lines, automated chemical processing, robotics and SCADA based control systems. This has allowed Matrix to produce superior quality deep sea buoyancy that is globally competitive and can be delivered at scale within shorter time frames.
