The Whiskey Project Group (TWPG) has announced the acceptance of their Whiskey Bravos by the United States Marine Corps (USMC) and has appointed key leaders to its Australian operations. TWPG is a manufacturer of multi-mission reconnaissance and tactical watercraft. In October 2024, they established a new US headquarters and manufacturing hub in North Carolina for shipbuilding and warehousing. The new facilities allow TWPG to create and maintain lightweight aluminium and composite vessels.

“The acceptance of our Whiskey Bravo vessels by the USMC represents a significant achievement in our mission to provide operator focused watercraft that deliver optimal performance and protection for those who risk their lives in the maritime environment," stated CEO and Chief Executive Officer of The Whiskey Project Group, Darren Schuback.

TWPG has delivered four Whiskey Bravo - Multi-Mission Reconnaissance Craft (MMRC-B) to the USMC in California. The MMRC is a craft designed to provide operational effectiveness in contemporary warfare environments. The craft has features tailored for versatile operational roles, including reconnaissance, surveillance, and target acquisition. The partnership with USMC has contributed to the development of Total Force capabilities in littoral manoeuvre.

In other news for TWPG, Leisha Johnstone has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer for TWPG. She possesses decades of experience within Defence industries, having worked extensively with the Department of Defence, Capability and Sustainment Group (CASG), and key stakeholders across Australia and the United States.

"We are thrilled to welcome Leisha to our leadership team.  Her appointment underscores our commitment to strategic growth and operational excellence. Her extensive private and public experience will be instrumental as we further expand our global operations and enhance our Australia and New Zealand manufacturing capabilities," explained Schuback.

Paul McGauley, an ADF veteran, has been appointed as TWPG's Head of Supply Chain. He has had roles at Electro Optic Systems (EOS), Crown Equipment, General Dynamics, and Australian Aerospace. The two new appointees will be based at TWPG's Sydney Headquarters.

"We are equally as delighted to welcome Paul as our new Head of Supply Chain.  With his unparalleled experience in optimising supply chain operations and driving strategic efficiency across global organisations, he will be invaluable as we continue to expand our manufacturing capabilities and deliver high-performance watercraft worldwide,” said Schuback.

TWPG has continued to experience expansion, developing and deepening its partnerships with the USMC, Marine Forces Reserve, and the Australian Defence Force (ADF).
