Penske Australia will unveil the MT881 engine selected by Hanwha Defense Australia to power Huntsman self-propelled howitzers (Land 8116) and Hanwha’s Redback infantry fighting vehicle (Land 400 Phase 3) at Land Forces next week.
Demonstrating "superior power and reliability", the MT881 engine is rated at 735 kW and 3,030 Nm of torque at 2,700 rpm.
Furthermore, Penske Australia’s display will feature the X1100-5A3 cross-drive military series transmission, also selected by Hanwha Defense Australia for inclusion in the Huntsman and Redback.
Penske Australia’s stand will also host the MTU 8V199 engine selected to power the Boxer (Land 400 Phase 2), the MTU 6V199 engine currently powering the M113 armoured personnel carrier, and the Rheinmetall MAN 40M military vehicle that has been converted into a maintainer training aid for the Army School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.

Penske Australia will be located on stand 2G16 at Land Forces.
