Lockheed Martin Australia (LMA) has created a new custom-fit logistics warehouse facility in Sydney to provide dedicated warehousing services to support the Australian Army operate and maintain their multi-role UH-60M Black Hawk fleet. 

“I commend the Australian Army and our team for the rapid establishment of the logistics warehouse facility.” He added, “This warehouse increases Australia’s operational readiness by ensuring the Australian Army’s Black Hawk fleet are well supplied, maintained and combat ready," Lockheed Martin Australia and New Zealand’s Chief Executive Warren McDonald said. 

Located nearby the Australian Army’s Holsworthy Base, the 4500 square metre warehouse was created as part of LMA’s Integrated Support Contract with the Australian Army. This warehouse holds replenishment spares, support and test equipment, and provisions for the Black Hawk operations in Australia.

“Our workforce is privileged to work hand-in-hand with the Australian Army," Lockheed Martin Australia’s Program Manager, Rodahn Gibbon stated. 

The warehouse features two computer-controlled Vertical Lift Machines. These machines, by stacking spares vertically triple the inventory storing capacity without any increase in floor space.
