Eylex has welcomed Assistant Defence Minister Alex Hawke to its Castle Hill headquarters following the Federal Government announcement that the company had been selected to supply critical equipment to the Land 400 Phase 2 program.

Eylex will supply RACAL Acoustics digital high noise RA4000 and medium noise Raptor RA5001 headsets and leads for the Block One Boxer 8x8 Combat Reconnaissance Vehicles (CRV) as part of Land 400 Phase 2.

During his visit to the Eylex headquarters, Minister Hawke met with Eylex management and the company’s team of 20 employees. Rheinmetall representatives also attended the event.

Eylex has been RACAL’s exclusive partner in Australia and NZ for more than 16 years and has delivered over 25,000 headsets and leads to the Army. Eylex is working with Rheinmetall on the Block One vehicles which will be delivered to the Commonwealth later this year.

“Eylex has worked closely with Rheinmetall from the beginning of the Land 400 Phase 2 program," Eylex founder and General Manager Ross Stevens said. "Being awarded this contract is exciting and significant for Eylex and we are looking forward to continuing our relationship with Rheinmetall into the long term.”

Eylex provides in-country support from the company’s facility in Castle Hill, which includes design and manufacture of lower end cables and repairs and headset testing. The company worked with stakeholders from the Commonwealth and Thales Australia to ensure technical acceptance and full system integration of the RA4000 headset on the Thales Sotas M3 system.
