Hanwha Defense Australia (HDA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with AI and Internet of Things (IoT) specialists 4Zero Technologies, as well as with its own sister company Hanwha Systems, and built on the MoU already in place with Deakin University for future work on Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satcoms.
The signing ceremony took place at the Land Forces International Land Expo in Brisbane.
“LEO satcoms is an exciting space and we are partnering with some of Australia’s leading companies in this domain,” Richard Cho Managing Director of HDA said. “Our recent familiarisation trip to Korea with these organisations was a great chance for everyone to see how we can work together, not just in Australia but more widely.”
“The 4Zero team are pleased to collaborate with Hanwha Defense Australia and Hanwha Systems on a new generation of battlespace communication and interoperability capabilities,” Bela Farbas, CEO of 4Zero said. “Our visit to Hanwha Systems in Korea presented several exciting opportunities for collaboration between our organisations.”

Earlier this year at the Farnborough Air Show, HDA, Hanwha Systems and OneWeb announced their MoU to explore opportunities in the Australian defence market.
