Night vision tech passes LM tests

Point Trading's Australian-made Night Eyes Aviation night vision binocular has successfully completed an engineering evaluation by Lockheed Martin Poland PLZ and can now be used for the Sikorsky S-70 Black Hawk.

The statement said: “The engineering evaluation was successfully completed - Evaluated Night vision goggles of Night Eyes Binocular Aviation can be used with S-70 BH cockpit with limitation related to visible reflections on windshield.”

The goggles, named Night Eyes (Aviation), were developed in Victoria.

“I am really excited about our Australian made Night Eyes being accepted for use in the Sikorsky S-70 BH cockpit,” Point Trading Chief Executive Officer, Mr Avner Klein said. “This once again confirms that Point Trading Night Eyes are one of the most advanced Night Vision Goggles in the world.

The news comes off the completion of a major project supplying Night Eyes and accessories to the Indonesian Navy.

Nights Eyes offer several significant improvements over the competition including worldwide patented logistics and support embedded with wireless communication to ensure what the company says is the 'highest reliability on the market.'

In a press release, Point Trading said it is the only Australian company that designs and manufactures military standard night vision products in Australia.
