Rheinmetall is to supply the German Navy with a prototype multi-mission unmanned surface vehicle (USV) under a EURO1.3 million (US$1.9 million) research and development contract.
The new USV will be based on a Watercat M8 fast landing craft built by the Finnish shipbuilder Marine Alutech and feature Rheinmetall control systems.
