These provide an extremely cost-effective alternative to conventional metal bearings.
The plastic bushes are usually made from a superior Nylon material impregnated with molybdenum disulphide (MoS2).
This additive lowers friction which reduces the need for lubrication and prolongs the life of the bush.
For specific conditions and applications Allplastics also uses other thermoplastics such as Acetal (Delrin), UHMWPE, Polypropylene, Polyester (Ertalyte), and PEEK.
These bushes have generally been designed with an interference fit in the outer diameter to allow for a good push-fit into the housing.
An additional clearance needs to be allowed in the inner diameter so that when the bush is installed, it will have the correct clearances for most applications.
Other factors such as temperature variations, moisture absorption and bearing speed may influence the clearance requirements.
Our machined bushes can be plain or with shoulder (Flanged).
Sizes can be made as small as 6 mm diameter and up to 300mm diameter.
