The Royal Australian Air Force is seeking Australian academic and Defence industry involvement in its Command and Control (C2) Futures Study.
Specifically, academia and industry are invited to participate in a C2 Options Development Industry Workshop being run by the study team exclusively for them. This two-day workshop will be conducted in Canberra in mid-May 2017 and will consider the following questions:
- What command and control approach, or approaches, does Air Force need to conduct effective combat operations in a Contested and Degraded Operations (CDO) environment in 2027?
- What needs to change by 2027 and why?
- What are the roadblocks and gaps to realising these changes?
Other Instructions:
Those members of Defence industry and academia who wish to participate in the workshop are to submit a response (maximum 5 pages in 10 point font) against this SOR. Respondents should articulate in their response the specific knowledge, skills and/or experience that they can bring to the workshop which will aid Air Force in answering the three questions:
- What command and control approach, or approaches, does Air Force need to conduct effective combat operations in a CDO environment in 2027?
- What needs to change by 2027 and why?
- What are the roadblocks and gaps to realising these changes?
