ADROITA from Australia and Marunda Utama Engineering from Singapore have signed a MoU that the companies say will take their partnership to the next level. The partnership, the companies said, is focused on the delivery of expeditionary maintenance capabilities to the Royal Australian Navy (RAN), United States Navy (USN), and allied navies in the Indo-Pacific.

The relationship between the companies, they said in a statement, emerged from discussions that started at the Sea Air Space exposition in 2023.

“This crucial first step is the start of a partnership that will grow, beyond AUKUS, the capability available to RAN, USN and allied Navies in the Indo-Pacific," said Sarah Pavillard the CEO and founder of ADROITA.

"I am delighted to partner with a firm with such a strong track record of maintaining combat-ready ships in a high pressure environment,” she said.

Marunda, which is headquartered in Singapore, provides direct ship repair servicing and maintenance to the US Navy, US Coast Guard and Military Sealift Command operating throughout the region, including the Independence class Littoral Combat Ships of Destroyer Squadron 7 (DESRON7) that rotate through Singapore. It has also provided maintenance support to the Royal Navy's offshore patrol vessels which are deployed to the region.

ADROITA’s expertise in the Australian maritime domain, combined with a strong record in industrial uplift make them the perfect partner for Marunda as we expand our service offering in the Indo-Pacific," said Rachel Wong, owner of Marunda Utama Engineering.
